Dr Marsden graduated from the University of Zambia, School of Medicine and worked at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) for 14 years prior to joining Pendleton Children’s Clinic full time in 2011. She gained experience in various disciplines of Paediatrics and Child Health at UTH, culminating in 2 years spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Neurology Clinic. Dr Marsden’s area of interest lies in Asthma and Allergies whence she provides interpretation of Lung Function and Allergy testing within the Practice. She received training in this field at the Pulmonary Clinic of UMASS Medical in America and Hospital Clinic, Spain. She is certified in Advanced Paediatric Life Support.
Since joining Pendleton, she has worked in management and is the current Managing Director, ensuring the vision and strategic plan of the Practice is actualised. Additionally, she is the Senior Primary Care Paediatrician managing children with various conditions ranging from allergic rhinitis, eczema, asthma, diabetes, ADHD, Autism and Sickle Cell Disease. She keeps current with Evidence Based Medicine by attending and presenting at both local and international conferences. She is a member of the Zambian Paediatrics Association, American Academy of Paediatrics, Zambia Medical Association, Zambia Association of Private Hospitals and the European Respiratory Society.
