Pendleton Children's Clinic

Providing Excellence in Child Health

Routine Checkups

Parents are encouraged to do routine well baby/child visits separate from sick visits. Sometimes parents want to combine these consultations, but it can be difficult to assess development and milestones in a child who has a fever or is acutely ill. It helps to make a list of questions you want to ask your paediatrician during the consultation. With the advent of the smart phones, you are guaranteed not to leave the list at home!
At Pendleton, we encourage parents to bring their children for these check-ups with our paediatricians at the following times: In the first week of life (if this wasn’t done after the baby was born), 6 weeks, 14 weeks, 6 months, 9months, 12months, 18 months, 24months and annually thereafter.
