Pendleton Children's Clinic

Providing Excellence in Child Health

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

To provide good quality care, all our medical staff require sufficient time to discuss your child’s ailment, vaccinations, growth monitoring etc. Scheduled appointments help us to efficiently manage this effectively. Even though illness is unplanned, from our experience most walk-in’s can be scheduled for an appointment within that same day or the following.

Appointments also reduce prolonged waiting times on the part of the patient. If your preferred Paediatrician is not available for that particular day or time, you are encouraged to make an appointment for his/her next available opening. Alternatively, you can see the other doctors who are available on the preferred day or time. Your entire medical history is meticulously stored within our clinic and all our doctors have access to them for continuity of care. Additionally, they consult each other when need arises.

Even though Pendleton is an out-patient clinic focusing in Primary Care, if you have an emergency within clinic operating hours, please call the clinic first. Our nurse will ask some preliminary questions which will help us determine whether your emergency can be handled at our Practice. If we are able to manage the emergency, you will be advised to come in immediately. However, if our clinic is unable to manage the emergency you will be referred to a larger hospital facility. For emergencies outside working hours, our doctor on call will provide advice  telephonically.
