Immunisations

During periods of routine monitoring, your child will get scheduled immunisations to prevent illness. Immunisation remains the safest and most effective way of protecting children and adults from harmful diseases before they come into contact with them. It also stops the spread of many of the world’s most infectious diseases.
At Pendleton, most children receive vaccines following the Zambian Immunisation Schedule. However, because we cater for an upwardly mobile community, some children do receive additional vaccines that are not on this schedule. Often, this is seen with children born outside Zambia where parents come with Vaccination Books from their respective country of origin. Because of our vast experience with such situations, adjustments to the vaccine schedules are made and parents are counselled accordingly.
